Low key place. Not terribly clean. Soda machine wasn’t working. They ran out of beef about ten minutes after we ordered and as a result “closed” for the rest of the day at about 11:00 AM. Food was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. My daughter enjoyed her sausage and eggs. My hamburger was good but nothing special. My brother did not like his enchilada. Cook walked through the dining area twice with a big bandage on his foot commenting to patrons (jokingly) about how he could barely walk, but even though he meant it jokingly it was very uncouth considering I was trying to eat and didn’t want to think about the cook’s bandaged foot!
unfortunate that there isn't a minus rating available. The food was mediocre at best. The restrooms were frightening. It was Labor Day weekend and I'll have to say that this experience will go down in our book as one of the worst lunches we've had in a very long time. I can't understand how this restaurant has been given over a four point rating on anybody's website
Simple down home cafe. Good service and friendly with value priced breakfast classics and quality Mexican specialties
The pancakes are delicious!
Great bite to eat as we passed through town
Lovely little restaurant serving a great breakfast. Excellent burritos.
Food came fast and hot. It's quiet coffee is great.
Not good, nothing about the pork chops and eggs was even edible. Well the eggs and potatoes were. The pork was cooked days ago then they try to re-heat it to sell it. Pork was way over seasoned, supper dry, and you can see from the pictures that one of the chops looks like a rodent. The biscuits and gravy were just as nasty. Gravy super heavy on the pepper, so much inedible. That was a $20 breakfast.
Exceptional service-very good food
We ate breakfast there twice during a recent weekend visit. The food was excellent and the service was very good as well. Wayyyy better than the chain restaurant up the street.
The green chili is AMAZING! Definitely recommend breakfast burritos! Potatoes are real, they are not frozen! Pancakes Are HUGE! But yet so delicious. Overall the best experience I've ever had!
Great place to eat! Stopped in on a road trip and had chicken fried steak and eggs, chorizo and egg breakfast, and pancakes. Food was great. Small, old timey restaurant reminiscent of the old fashioned diner.
Special needs friendly. Not very wheelchair friendly there is a half step inside the weatherbreak. Awesome food. #visitAlamosa
They have delish western omelets made with fresh crisp vegetables and shredded hash browns made to order. Very friendly and appreciative employees. They take carry-out phone-in orders, but call your order in early if you want to have 'breakfast for lunch!'
Good food, good service, good prices. So much better than I-hop
Food very good. Service excellent.
Go in often when in town. Food is always cooked well and tastes great.
I like the small place. I stop just about every time I go to alamosa for the past 2 years. I like the steak with side order of red chili.
We stopped by for breakfast and overall had an okay experience. The only issue we had was the special sauce that is used for smothering; it looks disgusting. The food was okay but that orange-colored sauce doesn't appear appetizing; looks like somebody puked on our plates.
Small but cute cafe and great breakfast want to try lunch
I strongly recommend the hashbrown it's definitely something to add on your plate!
Great people, they thanked us for chosing their restaurant
The service and the food were excellent, recommend this place.
Love coming staff and owners are great one of the best cafe's in Alamosa would defenently recommend to everyone
Late breakfast cooked to order was fantastic . Great place
Food was good, staff was nice. Restaurant was cold! Turn up the heat please
Good food, good prices, need help with wait staff on the weekends!
Good food good prices...
Good food friendly service
Stopped in this small cafe for breakfast as we were passing through Alamosa. Neat and clean inside including the restrooms. Easy access westbound from town. The food was excellent and served quickly by our personable waitress. Prices were very reasonable for such large portions. I highly recommend this cafe and I will dine here again.
Good breakfast good price
Pancakes are huge and amazing, their eggs are cooked to perfection, and the meat served is fonomanal.
This is a great little diner! Don't miss it! We had burritos and pork chops that were both excellent. Our service was outstanding. Prices very reasonable.
Good food, great customer service!!
Service was quick and friendly. Food was great and well priced. Always try to support the lil guy instead of a chain and was happy with the decision
No air conditioning. One waitress to cover the whole place by herself, and when we visited, a high school sports team was there with about 15 people, along with other random guests. Poor girl had all she could handle and worked hard at it. She deserves a raise. She also deserves to work in a place with she conditioning. Food was good enough.
Good cheap food, local establishment
Best biscuits and gravy in town
Service was good, cook or chef ate and talked with the people eating in Cafe. Home cooking, probably third generation here. Worth stopping in.
I love this little diner/cafe, food is exactly what you would expect with good service, and inexpensive.
Was basically told to leave because I brought some paperwork to do.
Driving thru and found this place. Definitely saving this place for future stops! The decor is much to look at and the place is small. But the food makes up for it! The food is amazing and definitely will stop by again on future trips!!
Jacinda does awesome job. And good food
Wow talk about fast service and great prices. I got biscuits and gravy . 6 bucks and the only thing I thought was a little to much gravy but I shared with the people at the table. For a little cafe in the middle of town. Im going to be back.
Asked for the a breakfast burrito no meat, because I’m a vegetarian, came in with a mystery salsa that contained pork. While I was eating it I asked one of the waiters and he said “there is no meat on it” not convinced, I asked the waitress one more time and she confirmed that there was no meat but there was pork (I guess some believe the only form of meat is in a steak or bacon) she also said that the cook was almost not going to prepare the burrito with the salsa because it said No Meat on the order but She assumed that if I ordered with the salsa I was ok with it. Disappointed!
Small place, served a mean breakfast. The service was great. Chef asked how the meal was. Good place to stop for breakfast.
Great food and friendly staff and prices are cheap. The atmosphere feels like being home and around family
Super friendly staff and delicious food! We will be back!
Was hoping for some really good country breakfast. Was not impressed. Biscuits and gravy were just plain nasty. Hash browns were sliced potatoes, and scrambled eggs were dry and burnt. Wish I would have taken pics, but had just gotten a phone call that my dog got hit by a car. Check out the food pics from Campus Cafe. I meant to go there, but we ended up at this place because it was closer and we had 3 kids walking with us.
Good food friendly people
